As natural and manmade disasters grow in frequency and severity, our national response must expand in scale and ambition. USNRFF will unite the full capabilities of government, nonprofit, and private sector - including U.S. manufacturing - to ensure a truly National Response. | USNRFF will link U.S. shipping and disaster relief with public relations & diplomacy, education, training, research, and economic development to transform U.S. domestic and foreign crisis response actions into a powerful “smart power” tool for National Security and global stability. | In coordination with other stakeholders, USNRFF is building America's Crisis Response Fleet: a global fleet of large cargo ships - U.S. flag, U.S. crew, and each CRF ship loaded with 10-20,000 tons of U.S. manufactured supplies and equipment for humanitarian assistance, disaster relief, and economic development ... to ensure we are Prepared at Home.
